About Lisa
Lisa was discovered at the age of 15 in a shopping mall in Calgary, Alberta. The agent wanted her to go to NYC immediately but Lisa was determined to finish high school first. She enrolled in a self directed learning high school and shortly after her 17th birthday, she was off to NY and then Paris.
Things were not easy in Paris, she had to fight off the unwanted advances from her Parisian agent. Needless to say, Lisa almost gave up a few times. But her known tenacity reared its head and she powered through, first by embracing the opportunity to switch agents in Paris. One thing led to another and sure enough, the next thing she knew she was working with all of the top Parisian photographers and appearing on covers of Marie Claire, ELLE and the coveted cover of British Vogue, shot by Patrick Demarchelier.
This kickstarted her career in New York where she was featured in American Vogue, American ELLE and did campaigns such as Loreal Studio Line and the famous Revlon Most Unforgettable Women campaign shot by Richard Avedon. She worked constantly with Albert Watson for Italian Vogue as well as the Blumarine campaign. Some of the photos from her work with Albert Watson are on the walls of galleries and museums around the world.
Lisa is a mother of two sons and a furry Golden Retriever aptly named Watson. Thanks to her years working internationally, she is also fluent in French and Portuguese.
